IHC Drives & Automation is an IHC Merwede centre of excellence. It delivers customised solutions in the increasingly important field of complex electrical drives and platform automation, improving the design, construction and operation of complex working vessels.

IHC D&A designs, manufactures and delivers generators and electric motors/submersible motors, main switchboards, variable frequency drives from 690V to 6.6kV with capacities of up to 15 MW, transformers and inverters, DP2 and DP3 systems, and artificial intelligent Power Management Systems. Complete electrical installations and additional equipment integrate all features.

The company has a motivated and qualified staff with roots in shipbuilding, the dredging and offshore industry, and electrical engineering. Training and life-cycle support help to cut cost of ownership for customers.
