IHC D&A presents: variable frequency drive 690V, 1MW

 

On 27 May 2010, Govert Hamers, the President Director of IHC Merwede, unveiled the first variable frequency drive (VFD), designed and built by IHC Drives & Automation. VFDs are used in in the dredging and offshore industry to regulate the speed of dredge pumps, cutters, winches and propulsion.
